Bill Alfond Field

The new Bill Alfond Field opened in August 2017 and is the home to the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams. With the new athletic complex construction beginning where the old field was located, Colby built the artificial turf field in time for the 2017-18 academic year. The field serves as a practice or backup field for other intercollegiate teams and for club and intramural sports, and it is available by appointment to community sports organizations as the schedule permits. The field features lights for night games and practices, a new scoreboard, stands built into a man-made hill, and a new press box. The new field is located adjacent to the Harold Alfond Athletic Center and behind the Lower Level Parking Lot.
